Funny things in and about S'pore

What do you know about Singapore? If I ask you to do a brainstorming, what would you say?
...of course you would answer "isn't it the city with all the prohibitions?"

Yes, even the locals call it the "fine" city. My impression is not so bad. There
are some prohibition signs, but basically you can find them in Germany
too. The only difference is that the fines are much higher. But there system
works. Nearly everywhere in Singapore it is very clean, nobody dares to
throw his waste away. Big plus point!
By the way in all the countries around, it is not roughly as clean as in S'pore.

And now for all the smokers among you. You would have your pleasure smoking here. Not only the
fact that cigarettes are expensive, no, every package has these disgusting pictures on it beside
the threatening phrases. After some weeks you should know all the harmful effects.











Singapore -> Asia -> RICE!!!
Rice is everywhere and all around. Even at McDonalds you can buy a Rice-Burger, instead of
bread the meat is put between rice.
And it wouldn't be a problem for me to eat rice for breakfast, lunch, dinner, ... but fortunately
noodles are a good alternative.
To be sure that you get no wrong impression, I really like the food. And since food plays an
important role, you can buy it everywhere in all different variations. I still have to try a lot of
things.

This picture is taken in a bar not far away from my
university. It is a special bar. The room is cooled down to
-10degrees and all you can see is made out of ice, cold drinks
are guaranteed.
The average temperature in Singapore over the whole year
is around 28 degrees...

... an ice cream is always welcome.
Nearly everywhere on the street you can buy this ice cream
packed between pinkish-yellow toasts.
