From Electrodynamics to the Night Safari - 9.Sept.2006

The proof: I'm not only enjoying myself and travelling around!
like some people ( especially my lovely former flatmate :- ) might have got the impression.
Since the system in Singapore is much closer to the school system than in Germany, you don't
have to worry running out of work. The next assignment, homework, lab report, mid-semester
exam is coming for sure.

Today we have an extra tutorial in Electrodynamics, on Saturday!!! This is also the reason why we
are sitting in this nice conference room. We are only 10 students in the class, very personal.
After three hours of crazy exercises about "retarded potentials and Gauge transformations" our
professor Dr. Lim Hock invites us for lunch. We have a nice conversation about so many things.
He is definitely one of my best professors and also the lectures are very good but though.

In the evening we visit Singapore's big attraction: "the night safari", the first and greatest of this kind.

Indian wolves
Like Disneyland with wild animals. We take a small train
through the terrain and explore the rest of the park
on feet.
Separated in the different
continents we can see all the
animals in the spotlight. Otherwise it would be really
impossible to find them in the dark night.
It is worth going there, nevertheless it is too touristy in my opinion.

Malayan flying fox: They are the largest bats, with a wingspan of up
to 2m.
We can walk through the cage and be face to face with Mr. Dracula.
